Let it Snow! Let it Snow! Let it Snow!

For most people St. George is lovely year round. Most of the time it isn't cold and the sun shines almost everyday. We occasionally get rain and even snow but it soon dries and we go back to having fabulous weather that you only need a t-shirt and maybe a jacket. Until recently that was the case. I hadn't even pulled out my winter coat because we didn't need it. I would go outside without putting a jacket on because it was so nice. Well not anymore. I had finally climitized myself with the weather down here and it snows and gets really cold. I couldn't believe it. But unfortunately the first storm all we got was wet.

This is what we got in our back yard

The snow that we did get melted by the next day. But the storm didn't end there. We got hit pretty bad yesterday and this was the result.

Taylee getting ready to go play in the snow...

Out the door...

Even though she may not look like it she didn't want to come back inside from playing in the snow. She loves the cold and for some reason always has. And yes I just realized that there is a lot of purple in this post. Oh well I'm too lazy right now to change it. Anyway we hope you are enjoying the snow as much as we are. We don't see it very often and when you come from places that always gets snow its nice to see it stick around every once in a while.

"Flour Child"

So I made bread the other day (Yes the old fashioned way...) and I needed more flour out of our storage buckets. Because I was making a lot. Anyway Tay decided to help get the flour out. I hadn't noticed what she was doing and of course when I turned around I had dough all over my hands to it took me a second to take picture. She seemed to have alot of fun because she kept coming back to play in the pile that she had made. And I couldn't clean it up right away.

Getting the flour out of the bucket with the measuring cup that she got by herself out of the drawer...

Making a bigger mess...

Picking it back up to try and put it in the bucket...

The Mess...

Getting caught...

The results...

I have now learned to put the lids back on the buckets. This entire mess was my fault but you learn from your mistakes and most of the time it gives you a chance to watch you kids do funny things. Luckily messes clean up and she can always remember what she did when she was little because I took the picture. Yes she will probably be really embarassed but that is what parents get to do right?

MADE IN BRAZIL

So we went to Made In Brazil last night and I have to say it is one of the best resturants I have been too in a long time. It is a resutrant like Rodizio Grill. They have a salad/ sidedish bar that you can go to throughout the night and you can also eat as much as you want of the meat and they also have grilled pineapple. The best was the drink!! Weird I know but we both had limeades and then strawberry limeades and they were to die for. They were just frothy and very good. They have all different kinds of meat and some of it is rare but they ask you to tell them if you want something cooked better. The best part for me was this is one of the only resturants that I have gone to that when I got home I haven't been sick from it. I don't know what my problem is but I don't like being sick after I eat out. Anyway that is my review of Made in Brazil. I will have to say that it is kinda pricey but it isn't too bad because eating really good food is worth it. So if you are ever in St. George go to Made in Brazil.

...babysitting...

So Grady's boss opened up a new resturant down here. It is a Brazillian resturant. I forgot the name of it. Anyway we got tickets to go eat there opening night which is tonight and the last time we went out and we took taylee it was a total disaster. She was all over the place and probably bugging all the people sitting around us. She is just being a normal toddler and it doesnt' but me too much. Anyway so we called a babysitter... this is the first time we haven't left her with some one in the family. And I am not worried one bit I'm actually excited. The funny thing is that I remember not too long ago when I was the babysitter and people were calling me to come watch there kids. I still have that happen but I think that it's funny when you grow up and get married and have kids, then you become kinda the way your parents used to be when you were growing up calling the babysitters and trying to go out on a date or wherever you need to. It just reminded me of the past. I never thought that I would have to hire a babysitter. But I am glad that there are still young girls who will watch your kids for pretty cheap and that you can still go out.

By the way I will have to let you all know how this resturant is so if you ever come my way to Saint George you can all go.

Too Smart For Her Own Age...

So I woke up this morning and got ready for the day and I can hear Taylee in her room banging on the walls and knocking on her door. So I got dressed and went to open her door and she had turned to lock so I couldn't get the door open. So I asked her to unlock it and she just kinda laughed at me. So I called Grady and told him what was going on and we both just kinda laughed. Once I got the door unlocked I asked her why she locked the door and she just said in her own way "I don't know". We thought it was pretty funny. And now we have decided that we will have to move her bed away from her door and rearrange her room so that she can't lock it anymore. I can't help but wonder if she is locking me out of her room now what is it going to be like when she gets older? I didn't really think she was capable of such things but I guess she is too smart for her own age.

Merry Christmas!!!

Taylee decided to help pull the pieces to the tree out of the box and hand them to dad. She was so helpful...

She would reach in the box as far as she could tryin to get the extra tree pieces.
Still helping with the tree...

I finally put her in the box so she could help. She kind of enjoyed it.

Putting the star on with dad before we decorate.

Fixing the star with mom so it wouldn't fall off...

Putting the star on by herself.
The finished product!!! Just lights and paper ornaments.

We hope you all have a very Happy Holiday season.

Clingy Children

I don't know why but Tay being really clingy just bugs me. I can't even get on the computer or do the dishes without her hanging on to my leg or pushing buttons. I figure one day I will get over the fact that it drives me nuts but as for right now I just deal with it. Most of the time she is really great but when I'm busy that is when it's the worst. Oh well! Like for instance right now. She pulled herself on the ottoman and she fell off. She started to cry and now she is climbing all over me not letting me do anything. It doesn't help that she hasn't had a nap but she hasn't acted tired at all. I probably should have put her down a few hours ago. OOPS! I never said I was the perfect mom. She is almost growing out of them. Most of the time she doesn't even sleep for an hour. Anyway today I am just venting my frustrations. Maybe I will have it better tomorrow.

This is Taylee Being Silly!!
Taylee and Mom
Our Family

A Day in the Life...

Ok so I decided to start doing this blogging thing. I'm not sure how much I will like it but I thought it might give me a better chance for people to see what my family is up too.

Grady is working full time for Stephen Wade Honda Mazda. He is the Parts manager and most days he comes home still wanted to go to work. He is also in the Band Closure and you can check out their website at closuretheband.com. They are playing constantly and that is really the only time he enjoys being part of the spotlight. He has enough guitars to keep any person happy and now he is working on the rest of the equiptment that he wants. And he is the most amazing husband and father. He loves his Taybug.

I stay at home all day with Taylee and she drives me crazy most of the time. She has started talking and saying actual words and its fun to tell people all about it. But if you want to hear her in person good luck because she doesn't show off for anybody! I love being at home but some days I wish I worked. But honestly I would rather be at home. As much as I complain about it I wouldn't change what I have. I work in the Nursery at church and absolutely love it. We have alot of kids in there including Tay but it is so fun to see how excited they get about what we learn and all the toys that they get to play with. And most of the kids actually like me and now the ward knows who I am even though we have been in it since we got married!!! That is a whole nother story. Ask about it if you want but I'm sure you won't. As far as today goes life is great. It's still warm in St. George and I don't even have to wear my coat yet!!!
