Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! The day of fits.

I know I'm a little late but I lost my camera and didn't find it until after Christmas!! I wasn't very happy about it. Anyway excuse the pictures they were taken by my phone.

This is Tay being her normal happy self. She wasn't always this way Christmas Day. She threw fit after fit. Let me explain.
Early Christmas morning. We wake her up because lets face it this girl can sleep and I didn't want to wait around to open presents!! So here she is in a good mood opening the things that Santa left in her stocking.
Here she is opening her presents. Santa left lots of princess and tinkerbell things. She loves to dress up. Fit number one will soon begin.

We finish opening presents hours later and I tell Tay that she has to go get dressed. But she was already playing dress up and the fit began. I had to tear her out of the dress up but she didn't calm down then I remembered that she has fairy dress up as well so I let her put it on. Fit over!! But she thought she needed to fly the rest of the day like tinkerbell.

Grandma came over and brought her presents. She gave Tay this tent. It can hook on a twin sized be or you can set it up on the floor. Tay loves it!! Fit number 2 begins. We need to go visit other family and open more presents. Tay won't come out of the tent. It took alot of coaxing and saying that she can play in it when we get home. Still not enough. I just have to get her out and let her cry. She got over it!! Once we got home she played in it the rest of the day and she even was nice enough to clean up all her new toys and put them away... in the tent!!

The happy girl we saw earlier playing in the tent. Yes it was full of static.

Fit number three happened when everyone came over for dinner. We had to move the tent because it took up our entire living room and we had no where to sit. We took it upstairs to her room. Talk about a melt down. The world had ended. She got over that one too. Her life went on. And all I could do was laugh.

Tay playing with the new toy at Grandma and Grandpa's house. Between Tay and her cousins they wouldn't leave it alone for two seconds.

At another Christmas Party showing off her new shirt. She had to put it on as soon as she opened it. It should fit her for a while.

The biggest Sugar Daddy I have ever seen!! It has at least 37 servings. And she wouldn't put it down. She also wanted to eat it all.
We had our dog back for the day a few weeks before Christmas. We have a doggie door and Molly uses it well. Tay on the other hand always has to try it out when it's open. At least she still fits!!

Sorry there aren't more pictures but you'll live right!! We hope you all had a great Christmas and have fun Partying it up tonight!! I know I will.

Hair, Dye and a 2 year old

So before we left for thanksgiving I had my hair highlighted. Our cousin Kenzie came over to my house to do it. Tay of course wanted to know everthing that was going on and she wanted to help. She kept asking if she was coloring it purple. It was hilarious. She wanted her hair done so bad. After I was done, Kenzie was nice enought to put a few foils in Tay's hair. Don't worry I didn't let her dye it. It was only conditioner!!!

After she was done tay decided to try it out on herself. I was laughing so hard. She didn't get any foils in but she did get alot of conditioner all over her hair.

She finally got her hair rinsed. It was so fun to watch her have this little experience. She loved thinking she was so much older than 2.

Fun with a Garbage Can

Over Thanksgiving we went to South Jordan to spend time with the family. One day my brother was working on his truck and Grady was helping him so I decided to go help my dad with the yard work. He was just trimming the branches off some of the trees and cutting down the rose bushes. He had pretty much filled the garbage can. But as most of us know you can always fit more in you just have to smash everything down. Growing up I was the lightest so I always got lifted in to jump on the branches and twigs. And yes I did it again!! Sorry no pictures. Once I got out we put more in and I thought it would be kinda funny to put Tay in. Little did I know she would actually think it was fun. Its almost as good a jumping on a trampoline, almost!!

SEATBELT

Taylee has this obsession with telling everyone to put on their seatbelts. Mostly because we tell her that she always has to sit in her big girl seat the her seat belt on. The other night I was folding laundry and she started unzipping our suitcase. I wasn't paying much attention and then when I asked her what she was doing she said. "I put on my seatbelt". I had to hurry and run to find the camera so I could get some pictures. If it looks like a seatbelt she will put it on to be one. Even if it is the belts inside the suitcases!!! :)

She told me to zip it closed. But she is a little big to fit inside so I left her feet out. She thought it was pretty funny.
Our deepest fear is NOT that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, 'Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented and fabulous?' Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God: your playing small doesn't serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you."

Halloween...the end finally.

Here are more pictures of Taylee. This is how she really looked on Halloween. She acted like a stinker alot too. But she was so excited to go get candy and be a Princess. She was pretty funny the whole night.

We took her to her Uncle Pat and Aunt Marci's house. This is not a staged photo. I was lucky enough to capture her attempt and knocking on doors by herself!! She know exactly what to do. Except she just tried to open the door and walk in their house. Its a good thing they wouldn't care of she did.

Enough about Tay for a sec. Grady had a gig on Halloween and they decided to dress up this year. And although it took the band weeks to come up with a costume idea. They decided against every idea they came up with. So we treked out to the stores halloween afternoon and looked at ideas. They found many but then decided against them all. Grady and his brother decided to go as Axel and Slash from Guns 'N Roses. I think we did a pretty good job at making Grady's costume work. I'm pretty proud of my cutting skills!!

Even though I am not a fan of Halloween myself. I still like looking at others ideas for costumes and I don't mind making them myself. We hope everyone had a fun and safe holiday.

Halloween...whatever.

If you have known me for lets say my entire life you would probably know how much I don't like the holiday of Halloween. If you don't believe me ask my husband and if you don't believe him ask my mom. Anywho we talked about carving pumpkins and doing a few halloween things for Tay. So on Monday for family night we got pumpkins and carved them. It took Tay forever to even touch them once they were cut open. I wanted to see her squish the insides and make funny faces but that didn't happen.

We got our spoons out and started gutting the insides and tay had to get one of hers. I did get this all on video but I haven't got it uploaded yet. Anyway we got 4 pumpkins. One for Taylee, one for Molly (our dog), one for Grandma, and one for Oaty (Grandma's dog). Yes you did read that right mom and dad get squat!! You can tell where we are on Taylees list. So here are the finished products of our pumpkin carving.

This year for a costume Tay is going to be a princess. Bella as she calls it but if you know the princesses Cinderella is Blue. She can say Cinderella. Anyway I found this dress a few weeks ago at Kid to Kid. I would rather get something that she can use later. This is the perfect church dress. Anyway this was the day we got it. And she has wanted to wear it every day since.

Family Picture

Petting Zoo

We heard about the petting zoo at Staheli Farms from a guy that Grady works with. And as much as Tay loves animals we thought it would be fun.

We stopped to see all the babies... I think Tay scared alot of them. She isn't afraid of much so she ended up chased them all over the pen.

She kept following all the baby goats. She even got poop all over her hand. I don't know how but it happened.

She chased this poor little pig all over because it wouldn't let her pet it.

Then we stopped to see the pony

And the very large sheep

And the Donkey

And they have the coolest slide there. Instead of landing on dirt or bark you land in CORN. Its probably a few feet deep of corn kernals. She didn't like the slide too much. It was pretty fast for a little one to go down.

She wanted to take off her shoes.

And they also have swings. They look like horses or bulls. She loved it.

She also found the stick ponies. She loves them and it was hard to have her put them back so we could go home.

The Chicken coop. It might be a turkey but I can't tell well enough from the picture. Anyhow they were both there.
