Holes...

So a few months ago I started doing my laundry as usual. I had just gotten a new dryer and well I need to really break it in!! Anyway I started washing clothes and went downstairs about my day. Around lunch time I noticed my light fixture was leaking water. (This isn't the first time I have seen this happen.) I got some towel out to let the water drip on and I called Grady. I checked upstairs and there was water all over behind the washer and dryer. Unfortuately it had leaked all over throughout the ceiling downstairs. This is what became of my ceiling...

Yes that is the light fixture. Luckily it didn't start a fire or anything. But we ended up with about a two foot hole in our ceiling. It was there for a while.

We finally decided to hire someone and get if fixed. We had drilled little holes throughout the ceiling to let the water drain. (There was a ton of water) so when the guy came to fix it our ceiling ended up looking like this...

Then he eventually started covering the hole back up.

And used alot of mud to cover the seams. 3 layer that took the guy like 5 days to do. I won't get started into my venting of how bad of business skills this guy has but I wasn't impressed.

And he textured it for us so it will look like the rest of the ceiling.

We haven't painted yet but we aren't in too big of a hurry to get it done. Grady is busy with work and the band and I chase around a two year old. But at least our hole is fixed!! And I will remember to check the hose that drains the water if we ever move the washer or dryer!!

Go Cougars!!

On saturday I went with my dad to the / game in Las Vegas. It was such a fun and exciting game. And BYU destroyed UNLV 59/21. To say the least I haven't been much into football since High School. And I've only been to about 3 games. And if you knew me in High School I loved football!!! Anyway I was suprised to see how many fans actually made the journey down to Vegas to watch their team play the game. We had fun. Thanks for letting me come dad. And mom thanks for watcing Tay!!!

25

So it has been a few days but my birthday was last week. I turned 25. I don't feel any different than when I was 18. I might look different. And I have less energy but that is what happens when you have kids and from what I'm told it might not come back. Anyway I had a pretty good day. I got my presents from Grady and Taylee early. They couldn't wait to suprise me Monday night after they got home from shopping. They gave me a new 17" widescreen laptop and a new 4-in-1 printer so I now can print bigger pictures out along with everything else that I can find to print off. I was really suprised as well as excited. I play on my laptop all day. I still haven't figured everything out on it but I don't care. It will happen with time. Then on my actual birthday (the 19th) we had a little get together with grady's family and I got more little gadgets to add to my laptop. As well as some craft and scrapbooking supplies. It was a pretty laid back relaxing day. It couldn't have been better.

Busy Busy

This past weekend was very busy for our family. Mostly Grady but me an Tay gave him a pretty good cheering section. He played with his band Friday at the Washington County Fair, Saturday at a private party and Sunday at a Stephen Wade Party. So here are some pictures from Friday night and Sunday.
This if Gradys band Closure playing at the fair.

Another one of my amazing photos!!

Grady and one of his many other ladies...

Tay was dancing and having so much fun listening to her daddy's music. Everytime the song would end she would yell " yay daddy!!!" and clap her hands. She is his biggest fan!!

Sunday we were in Pine Valley at the Wade Ranch.

The Band
in a Barn!

Taylee and her friend Cash

We had alot of fun relaxing, eating good food and good music. I ended up chasing and yelling at Tay most of the day because she wanted to run off and play on the bridges and in the water. So I didn't have that much of a relaxing day as I would have liked but she is a very busy 2 year old and she wishes she could be more independant!!

Molly May and the Bean

So last week I had to go get our dog Molly from Enterprise and take her to go get groomed. She looked like a bear as always. Anyway Taylee talked about Molly getting a haircut all day long. It was so funny. Since we aren't allowed to have dogs at our house at the moment, Molly didn't stay very long. But while she was here Tay had a little fun with her. She loves to walk the dogs. Most are too big for her to handle, minus Tiny Steve, but she likes to try anyway. So here is Taylee attempting to put the leash on Molly. She would just slide it under her collar and pretend that it was hooked on. She would start walking around and it would come out so she would stop and try and put the leash back on the collar. Tay did this over and over again. I couldn't stop laughing.

Watching Pooh

The infamous Doggy Door. Yes Tay actually stuck her head through the door following the dog. Then she noticed that Molly had done her business and started telling me, Molly Poopy, Molly Poopy. She wouldn't stop until I cleaned it up.

Loads of Kisses!!!

Tay loves Molly. She followed her everywhere around the house. And drove Molly nutty. She wouldn't leave her alone. I'm just glad that she isn't afraid of animals and that she enjoys being around them even when they maul her to death with kisses and jumping all over her because she is their size.

Camping 101

So we had a Family Reunion this past weekend. I wasn't quite sure what to expect with Taylee because last year she wasn't old enough to really understand what was going on. This year on the other hand she had alot of fun. She played with lots of cousins and she loved being outside. Most of all she wanted her Grandma. She wanted absolutely nothing to do with me or Grady. As much as we enjoy a break from being parents. It was kinda difficult getting her to understand that she can't always have her grandma. She mostly wanted her during the big horseshoe touney that we have every year. Aside from Taylee being a stinker and my camera not having batteries for long. Here a the few pictures I was able to take.

Taylee being a grump
The Horseshoe Tourney. Tay is going to get her grandma...again!

Tay and her uncle Pat

Tay and Daddy. She was upset because we wouldn't let her go find her Grandma. She would have gotten wacked by a horseshoe.

Flowers!!!

Picking Flowers

She didn't want the flower in her hair

Tay and her Grandma...........Finally!!

Eating Chips and playing with some golf game. (I can't remember the name of it)

Grady playing shoes. (He is right behind the guy in front)

Taylee in a good mood for once.

Taylee and Josie. They had so much fun together.

These two got into a lot of mischeif. The would run off together and we would have to hunt them down. Right before we left they went to Josie's car and we couldn't find them. We were frantically looking every where because no one saw them sneek off. STINKERS!!! It didn't take long to find them. Leave it to Taylee to do stuff like that. Lets just say I wasn't the only one freaking out a little.
