Taylee and Carmindy

I can't believe how fast my girls are growing up. Taylee just finished Kindergarten a few weeks ago, turned 6 and is just becoming a fantastic little girl. She is not a little girl anymore but I can't help but think of her that way. She still loves being a big sister and can't wait until she is a DOUBLE big sister.

Carmindy on the other hand is a handful. She has so much energy and is full of life and excitement. She loves to follow Taylee around and do everything she does. Including playing with all of her friends. Thank goodness Taylee has such patient and loving friends who include Carm when they come to play. Even if I make them.
Carm I think has mixed feeling about the baby. She does talk to my stomach and kiss it, and they both tell me how big it is getting everyday!! Other than that she could really care less. Until she wants to sit on my lap and then she doesn't quite fit anymore, I try to joke that she is just squishing the baby like I squish her when she climbs up behind me on the couch. But that makes her get off or we readjust ourselves so she can still sit with me.

I had to get updated pictures of my girls. I try to get at least a new one on their birthday or around it. And since neither one of my kids like the spotlight!!!, here are the most recent.

Baby update!

I'm half way. I can do this!!! That is my motto lately. The past few weeks have been really hot here in ST. George and all I want to do is lay on my couch in the A/C. Even the wind blowing doesn't make it better. In fact of the wind would stop so would my allergies! I had my big ultrasound today. Yep she is definitely a Whitlock. She looks like her sisters. Well from what I can tell. Every thing is looking great she is growing right on schedule maybe a few days early!!! Now I can get started on a few projects that I need to get finished before I blow up like a balloon and can't move. Mostly things I have been putting off for way too long. I will officially be at the half way mark on Sunday. We are so excited and can't wait for the next 20 weeks to go by quickly. Which they will thanks to a busy summer schedule and kids who want to do everything.

Girls and Their Horses

My little brother and his wife Kirsten invited me, my sister and all our kids to come horse back riding with them last weekend. We opted not to tell the kids because we would hear about it all day until it happened. So we surprised them and they were so excited.

Carm was totally loving it. She would ride around with either Kirsten or My sister. She would have rode with me if I was actually riding but since Baby #3 is on the way I decided to stay on solid ground until after. Then maybe I'll venture onto a horse. I haven't been on one since I was like 5.
Tay and Rusty riding Snowman. They would fight over who got to ride him. Most of the time they rode together. Eventually they got to each ride on their own.
Carm and Aunt Holly on Toby.
Aunt Kirsten and Tay on KING!! I have no idea what kind of horse he is but I remember he weighs around 2000 LBS and is a very large beast! But the mellowest I have seen.
Tay by herself on Snowman.
She loved it!
Since we are city folk! Our kids aren't as exposed to riding and roping and cowboy stuff as they should be. But when they have the opportunity they usually take it. They love animals and doing all sorts of things. I'm glad they got to go. And for once I haven't been asked since to ride a horse again. Maybe they forgot or they haven't seen one to remember to ask. I'm sure we will go again. They want Dad to ride with them next time!!!!

Christmas 2012

Wow! I am really far behind...well not really. Christmas was so exciting at our house. Once the girls saw all the Christmas decorations and we decorated our own house the they knew what was happening. They saw Santa the first time after Thanksgiving at the Tree lighting the Power Company does. And again at our ward Christmas party. Carmindy asked for: Cheese, babies, mouse (Minnie or mickey). Taylee asked for an a Easy Bake oven, Snow White doll.

One night after we set the tree up and turned the lights on the girls thought it would be fun to play under it. Since there were no presents under it yet I really didn't care. I was just trying a setting on my camera.

Grady and I had a hard time deciding on what to get the girls. We saw these cars and thought they would have so much fun. Originally we got the black one the Carm is in for Tay and the Princess one that Tay is in for Carm. Just because of size. But once they saw them they picked for themselves. They didn't have names on them so we didn't really care.

They had a blast driving their cars. I couldn't stop laughing at Carmindy because she was just driving in circles the entire time. But she had the BIGGEST smile on her face. She thinks she is such a big kid now.

My mom and dad got Carm her very first Cabbage Patch Doll. She loves it!! She has about 5 babies and she has her moments with each. She loves them and having all the little things that go with them.

Tay got her easy bake oven. Thanks Santa!!! She wanted to make everything right away. Of course I forgot how time consuming it is just to make the stuff. You have to preheat the thing forever before you can even do anything. I would rather just use the real thing. But she loves to cook now.
It was so fun watching the girls this year. Next year will even be better. They are still singing christmas songs. And Tay is already thinking about what she is going to ask Santa for. I'm sure she will forget in a few weeks and things will get back to normal around here.

Halloween 2012

If you know me you know Halloween is my least favorite holiday. I have despised it since I was little. But now that I have kids of my own. I have learned to like it for them. Taylee decided this year that she wanted to be a mermaid. Easy enough I thought because I was yet again determined to make their costumes. And since Carmindy loves her big sister, they were going to be the same thing. It was cause less fighting and arguing from these two.
So off to the Fabric store we went. And at a good time because their sequined fabric was on sale. I let them pick their tail colors out. And then it was my turn to figure out how to make these suckers.

I thought they turned out well from not following a pattern at all. And I added some mesh to the tails to make them look more like tails. In the end my girls love their costumes and that is all that matters. Tay loved the fact that she could wear a "bra". And makeup. Carm just loved the candy!!

Carmy Loo Hoo Turns 2

I don't know where the past two years have gone but all of the sudden this little spitfire was having another birthday. Here are some of her favorite things right now.
1. Elmo, Elmo and Elmo.
2. Cheese
3. Taylee and Londyn! She loves to follow them around and do everything they do. I think they love the attention, most of the time.
4. Being naked or in her diaper
5. Being a big girl, she is starting potty training but we are taking our time.
6. Babies, dolls the real thing, she loves them.
